4–8 breaths per minute
Calm & Balanced
Your breathing rhythm: Slow and settled
Your breathing rate is on the slower side. If you feel comfortable, relaxed and well, this may simply reflect your natural breathing pattern.
Rather than trying to slow your breath further, use this opportunity to deepen your connection with your body.
Your recommended practice:
Start with awareness. Spend two minutes observing your natural breath without changing it.
Add gentle movement. Try a few minutes of Joint Movement, allowing your breath to flow naturally as your body moves.
Reconnect with the present. Notice your feet on the ground, release unnecessary tension and give yourself a moment without distractions.
Remember: the goal isn't to achieve a particular number. It's to develop a breathing pattern that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.
At Breathing Heals, we believe awareness comes before change. Start by listening to your body.
One important qualification: 4–8 breaths per minute is not automatically proof of a regulated nervous system. If someone experiences dizziness, breathlessness or discomfort, they should stop deliberate breathing exercises and seek appropriate medical advice if symptoms persist.
